The Friends of the Portneuf, The South East Idaho Fly Fishers, The Idaho Fish and Game, and Trout Unlimited started working with landowners along the upper reaches of the Portneuf River some 20 years ago to erect fences to protect the riparian areas of the river. The before and after photographs clearly show the substantial results of a little work and cooperation and have served as the inspiration for the Portneuf River Project. It is one of the goals of the Carriboo Conservancy and the Portneuf River Project to expand on the stream restoration and preservation work along then entire length of the Portneuf River.

We can use your help with projects like these be it physical labor or dollar donations. Please join our efforts to save the Portneuf River ecosystem.
